‘Why I love my brain’ creative art competition

Our annual creative art competition encourages primary school students from around Australia to think about the brain and its functions, and also helps teachers to introduce brain science to their students.

In 2020, our art competition encouraged primary school students to show us why their brains are amazing. The competition closed on 19 June 2020.

Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19 and schools teaching remotely during 2020, we still had over 650 entries in our creative art competition. It was very difficult to shortlist the artworks that were then voted on by the many brain researchers from the ARC Centre of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function.
